Since my grandfather began experiencing memory loss, my family and I have witnessed first hand the brutal toll Alzheimer’s disease takes. This experience inspired us to tell this story.

I co-wrote, directed, and edited this film with my father, Brian Russell. Tony Award winning actor James Naughton (Chicago, City of Angels) and his real life son Greg Naughton play father and son on screen. This is a story about a father and son, produced by a father and son, and starring a father and son.

Not the Same Clarence has been selected to 24 film festivals and counting. We have won numerous awards, including Best Screenplay, Best Director, and multiple acting prizes for James Naughton.
